Hi, my name is Julia.

A little about me…

  1. I love to laugh.

Therapy is hard work. I think bringing laughter and levity into the space is so important and marker of my work. Yes, I will ask you difficult questions. Yes. I will challenge you. But I will laugh with you as well.

2. I love coffee.

Please always feel free to bring a snack or beverage with you. Therapy is an intimate space. Eating and drinking can create connection and bring walls down. If you forget your coffee, I’m always glad to brew a cup for you!

3. I love my people.

People bring me joy and life. It’s why I do what I do. I met my husband 15 years ago, and he’s been making me laugh ever since *see #1.* Colorado is home for us both, and our people are our reason to stay. Also, my dogs, Jojo and Seb, are some of my people and you can’t convince me otherwise.

4. I love therapy.

I believe in it because I’ve seen it work in my own life and the lives of those I love. Therapy is a beautiful space to encounter safety and connection. Typically our deepest hurts come from relationship, and we need relationship to heal those space.

I am a person-centered therapist, integrating a range of therapeutic approaches. I am a trauma focused therapist with certification in EMDR. I have been in practice for 8 years. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Seattle Pacific University and completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary.
